Challenging Conversations

This course equips leaders with the skills and confidence to have courageous, constructive conversations in the workplace. Participants learn how to address performance issues, behavioural concerns, and interpersonal conflict early,  before they escalate.

Through practical frameworks and examples, the program builds competence in preparing for, conducting, and following up on difficult discussions with fairness, professionalism, and empathy. The course emphasizes clear communication, emotional regulation, and alignment with organisational values to promote trust, accountability, and positive culture.

Learning Objectives

Learning outcome 1: Identify situations that require a challenging conversation and describe the benefits of addressing performance, behaviour or interpersonal issues early.

Learning outcome 2: Apply a structured framework to prepare for and conduct a challenging conversation using clear, respectful and professional communication techniques.
